In 2017, we turned a cherished dream into reality by opening the first locally owned and operated PADI Dive Resort in Zanzibar. Now, we’re excited to embark on a new chapter, expanding to Pemba Island! This island holds a deep significance for our owner, being the birthplace of both him and his parents, and playing a vital role in his family’s history. While Nungwi nurtured his childhood memories, Pemba holds a special place in his heart, and we’re thrilled to share our passion for diving in this beautiful location.

Fun Divers Zanzibar is thrilled to announce the construction of a brand new facility on Pemba Island, designed to be your haven for exploring Pemba’s underwater paradise. Here’s what awaits you at our new Pemba dive center home:
- Dedicated base leader office
- Spacious equipment room for our top-notch rental gear
- Air filling station (compressor room)
- Clean toilets and showers
- Dedicated teaching area for PADI scuba diving courses
- Secure storage room for your personal dive gear
Fun Divers Restaurant
As part of our new facility, we’re excited to introduce a new restaurant managed by local Pemba residents. This oceanfront oasis will be the perfect spot to unwind and savor delicious meals, all while enjoying Pemba’s breathtaking seascape. What to expect at our new restaurant:
- Stunning sea views, a pristine white sand beach, and lush tropical surroundings
- Open to the Public: Divers and non-divers alike are welcome!
- Open daily from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM (closed Fridays from 12:00 PM to 1:45 PM)
- Delicious culinary delights: Freshly created by local Pemba residents. Menu coming soon!

Dive Gear
Dive confidently with our brand new Scubapro and Mares BCDs, ensuring a comfortable and secure fit for every diver. Our extensive selection includes Scubapro regulators, fins, masks, weights, and torches, providing everything you need for an unforgettable underwater experience.
Cylinders
Explore with ease thanks to our brand new 12L aluminum cylinders, compatible with both Yok and DIN valves for maximum convenience.
Boats
Unwind in style aboard our brand new speedboat. Powered by twin 140 horsepower Suzuki engines for a smooth ride, this vessel boasts a protective shade shelter and ample space for photographers with even the bulkiest equipment.
We’re excited to announce the extension of our Pemba fleet with the relocation of our first fiberboat, the Pompano, from Nungwi. Even more boats are on the horizon!
